PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Typical Program Schedule
Weekday mornings:
3-hours of Italian language with Scuola Dante Alighieri Mondavio
Weekday evenings:
Opera scenes rehearsal
Students will receive two 50 minute voice lessons and two 30 minute coachings
per week. A pianist will be assigned to each lesson. There will be at least one
song and aria recital and two opera scene performances. One of the opera scene
concerts will be in a theater in a nearby town in the Marche region. Song and
aria repertoire will be selected from works in both Italian and English, while
the opera scene repertoire will be performed in Italian. Weekly studio classes,
diction class, and other pertinent presentations will round out the offerings
for the program.
Cultural Activities
Three day-trip excursions (Past trips have included Florence, Pesaro, and San Marino)
Two 1/2 day trips to local places of interest
Wine and olive oil tasting
Pizza-making class
At least three evening concerts in Mondavio and neighboring cities
